Each morning begins with a luxurious hotel breakfast spread that blends the best of both worlds. You’ll find traditional Egyptian dishes like ful medames, tameya, and fresh cheeses alongside familiar options like eggs, fruit, and pastries. Shared Meals, Personal Choice

Throughout the retreat, we’ll often dine together for lunch and dinner, gathering at some of our favorite restaurants to share the experience as a group. While daily breakfast and one hosted dinner are included in your retreat package, all other meals will be at your own expense. You’ll typically have the freedom to choose what you’d like to eat from the menu, allowing you to tailor your meals to your taste and appetite. It’s a beautiful balance of community and choice, and we’ll always guide you to trusted spots that reflect the richness of Egyptian cuisine.

Luxury Stay, Cultural Access, Seamless Travel

Roundtrip airport transfers are included when you arrive and depart from Cairo International Airport on the official retreat dates, so you can begin and end your journey with ease. You’ll stay in a collection of carefully selected luxury hotels throughout Cairo and Luxor, each offering comfort, security, and elevated hospitality. Choose a private room for full privacy or a double room to share with one other guest. All scheduled activities, guided tours, entry fees, and ground transportation are included in your retreat package, so you can simply show up and enjoy. Daily breakfast and one hosted group dinner are also included—everything else is curated for your comfort, but flexible to your preferences.

Guidance, Planning, and Peace of Mind

From the moment you book, you’ll be supported every step of the way by your hosts, Amirah and Jarrell Cook. As with every Hosted by The Cooks retreat, you’ll receive monthly pre-trip newsletters, downloadable travel guides with everything from flight tips to cultural etiquette, and access to a private group chat to stay connected with fellow guests. We’ll also host a pre-trip group Zoom call to walk you through the experience and answer any questions. This is travel made simple, intentional, and stress-free. So you can focus on enjoying Egypt to the fullest.

Memories, Community and down time

During our Giza tour, a professional photographer will be there to capture stunning moments and shared memories. You’ll receive a digital photo album after the trip so you can relive the experience long after you return home. Between tours and cultural exploration, you’ll also have space to rest, reflect, or explore at your own pace. Including a free day to venture out on your own or with fellow guests. Whether you’re solo or coming with a friend, you’ll be part of a warm, thoughtful community—something that makes every Hosted by The Cooks retreat unforgettable.

Flights, Luggage, and Travel Insurance

Your roundtrip flights to and from Cairo, Egypt are not included in the cost of the retreat. Any airline baggage fees and personal travel insurance are also not covered. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes trip cancellation coverage, as all payments made toward the Egyptian Adventure retreat are nonrefundable.

Most Meals and cocktails

Your retreat package includes daily breakfast and one hosted group dinner. All other meals are not included and will be at your own expense. While we’ll often dine together as a group and offer recommendations, you’ll be responsible for your individual food and drink selections. Alcoholic beverages are not included but are available for purchase at most restaurants and hotels.

Optional Extras and Personal shopping

If you choose to shop for souvenirs, tip service providers, or book optional excursions during your free day, those costs are not included in your retreat package. We’re happy to assist with arrangements and provide suggestions, but any activities beyond the scheduled itinerary will be up to you to explore at your own pace.
